So it is now the end of April, which means two months until WUDJ. I feel a bit more accomplished this week then I have in past weeks, seeing as I've started a short story, that I'm going to turn into 'Writer's Digest' Your Story contest. Even if I don't end up winning, it's another short story written. I have revisited The Edge of Darkness which is going to me my WUDJ project, unless I manage to finish it in two months. (Highly doubtful because there is so much work to be done on it.)
There is something that I've realized as of late. My goal isn't going to happen right away, but it'll probably happen if I do everything write the first time. Now, I'm not talking about the first perfect draft, because there is no such thing. I'm talking about making sure, double sure, and triple sure that everything is polished and ready to go before jumping on the submit wagon. Just saying. I think some times I get so wrapped up in the excitement of submitting stuff that I forget that even through the fifth and sixth edits, things can be missed or can just be plain awful.
Even though it's nearly 6 months away, I'm getting excited about Nano, I think because I'm spending some quality time with the series, and it's starting to actually pull together. I like when that happens! That's my update, now I gotta get back to work.
